Vampyr Books
that you should own!
In this section of the book recommendations list, I will feature a range of books from various authors and clans. Some of these books you absolutely must read, while others are just good to have for other reasons.

For those of you who are doing research on Vampires and Vampyres from across time and the globe. “The Encyclopedia of the Undead” Chronicals an extensive history on Vampires of Myth, Legend, Fiction and Folklore. As well as features information about various Vampyre Organizations, such as the Order of the Vampire, the Temple of the Vampire, Dracula Society, Order of the Strigoi Vii, Vampire Research Society, and so much more!

For those of you who want an inside look into Vampyrism as a Culture, Society, and Spiritual Identity, this book is for you. Joseph Laycock writes this book from the perspective of the Vampyre Community as an independent scholar, with the aid of the Atlanta Vampire Alliance (AVA). Joseph states “Independant Scholarship is a thankless task but a necessary one. Were it not for independent scholars there would be only dependent scholars whose research is beholden to the institutions that patronize them. Only those with nothing to lose are free to study whatever they want.” His mission to tell our story without skewing the narrative of the Modern Vampyre is the very reason why I recommend his book as a must read. Many of the individuals he mentions in his Acknowledgement have authored the other books I will recommend, including J.Gordon Melton

Everything you need to know about Energy Vampyrism and Energy Manipulation you will learn in this book. You don’t need any other book, everything pales in comparison, YOU MUST HAVE THIS BOOK! no questions about it. the only two books you need is The Psychic Vampire codex by Michelle Belanger and Vampyre Sanguinomicon by Father Sebastiaan because together they create a complete Vampire Bible/Grimoire.
I’d say maybe even the Vampyre Magick Grimoire of the Living Vampire by Father Sebastiaan could be added as a 3rd book.

If you are a Vampyre who is interested in joining the Order of Stigoii Vii The Vampyre Sanguinomicon is a brilliant solitary initiation tome. whether your intentions are to join Ordo Strigoi vii or not, I think this book is a Must Have for all Vampyres there is so much important information in this book that it’s a MUST HAVE!

What I love about Vampyre magick the Grimoire of the living vampire, is how it features the Vampyre Alphabet, along with a setup for Vampyre ritual tools, along with a variety of important ritual practices; such as the throning ritual, meditation, astral travel, invokation and evokation, along with the code of ritual agreement. theres a bunch of really important and useful stuff in this book that places it high on my recommendations list. For me its a Must Have! but thats because I have many uses for it as a Vampyre.

Originally the Black Veils in Vampyre history was a set of 13 Vampyre Laws or Rules that everyone within the Vampyre Society accepted as the ultimate guidelines for engaging in Vampyre Society. It was Known and is still thought to be Vampyre LAW.
But Father Sebastiaan has a new vision for the Law, it will now encompass under its umbrella, the Vampyre Virtues and Words of Power, and the Aeonic Words of the Elorathian Current. He incorporates Vampyre Holidays, Vampyre Veve’s for each Caste of Vampyres of the Aeonic currents of Mradu, Kitra, Ramhkt, Samedi, and Elorath. There is a whole bunch of other really useful and important information in regards to Strigoi Vi initiation.

In this initiatory guide, Don Webb explains how to learn from the myth of the vampire to gather, use, and store energy for magical power, manifestation, and personal liberation. A Master of the Order of the Vampyre within the Temple of Set, the author shares a 9-month process to awaken and initiate you as a Vampyre and allow you to actualize your hidden potential.
Webb begins by explaining how to gather energy from the world around you and store it in the body, in artifacts and talismans, and in groups of people, such as a coven. Through the 9 stages of initiation, the author offers guided magical techniques, manifestation methods, and experiments to utilize the energy you have learned to gather and store. He also examines familiars, Vampyric runes, money magick practices, and sex magic techniques. Sharing more advanced practices, Webb looks at the creation and destruction of egregores and how to fight off psychic vampires–those who steal your power and energies. Achieve greater self-knowledge, a deeper connection with the energies that surround you, and the power to manifest your deepest desires by walking the path of the Vampyre.

I only recommend this book for large Covens, and Vampyre event organizers. this isn’t really useful for the Solitary Vampyre, but it might be good to have around just in case. I recommend the Phsychic Vampire Codex by Michelle Belanger as the most comprehensive tome on energy working and vampirism. point blank period. That paired with Vampyre Sanguinomicon, Those are the only two books to really need in concerns to self initiation/awakening within the Vampyre currents. Everything else is just extra, as in history, and clan laws and traditions.

This is a compilation of interviews with real vampires about their individual experiences….. read about people’s lives and their interests in vampires and how they came to identify as vampires. This one isn’t a must-have, but it’s probably most people’s earliest introduction to the idea that vampires exist beyond the realms of fiction. I seriously don’t recommend this one. But if reading about peoples mundane interests in vampirism is your thing… thats the book for you. Michelle Belanger published a similar book to this too I think its titled “Vampires in Their Own Words: An Anthology of Vampire Voices”

The Violet Throne is an intricate tool of personal evolution, internal initiation and profound liberation. Composed by distinct methodically crafted occult grimoires that establish an elaborate foundation of Asetian wisdom, this transcendent tome that unifies words, art and magick, is a talisman for advanced practitioners and a gateway between worlds. The secrets wielded by the alchemy that emerges from these pages of mystery and concealed power hold fundamental keys to rekindle the forgotten flame of centuries, seemingly lost throughout history and time but here boldly unleashed with the devastating forces of energy, symbol and soul, revealed upon the altar of eternal fire burning in primordial violet light.

A comprehensive history of the New York (Gotham Halo) Vampyre community, its many clans, leaders, codes, and traditions. (This is the community that gave rise to Vipra Lykos the misanthropic Vampyre head of the Ordo Viprimae.) This publication will serve as much more than just a simple almanac, but a guide to the Gotham Community and the traditions within it. The true hope of formulating this text is to provide a true working lineage of the Gotham Community. It is a known fact that the Vampyre Community is global and has been in existence for longer than most of us can remember. This second edition gives a broad overview of other established Halos further enriching the community as a whole. (3rd Edition is currently in the works.)

This is probably the only book by this author that I’d personally recommend. I recommend this one over the revised version titled “AKHKHARU” which is good but its full of daemonic nonsense and comes off pretentious like most of his works. Michael W. Ford is a co-founder of the Black Order of the Dragon, established in 1993. The original aims of the BOTD was the development of the body, mind and spirit via Satanic Magick; self transformation through knowledge and vampyrism.
I recommend his system of Vampyrism over his system brand of Luciferianism, mainly because Luciferian Order has a MUCH! Better System and Luciferian Philosophy, all laid out in the Luciferian Manifest by Lucian Black.
Fords Brand of Luciferianism is just Daemonoly. Its a syncretic system of Satanism and Demonology, with elements of Christian Gnosticism. peppered with a bunch of other things.
as interesting as allot of that sounds, out of all of his books that I own, “Sekhem Apep” is the only one that I find to be an incredibly useful system of Astral Vampyre Magick. And it is very very very Draconian, just like the system I was initiated into myself.
His other book I’d only recommend for his use of Pranayama, for Pranic Feeding, which is another Practice that I utilize in my own system of Vampyrism.

this isn’t a Vampyre book, but allot of the Magick contained within it, is very much part of Vampyre magick traditions. What I also like is his introduction of the Base 6 English Gematria to use with the 9 gates of Planetary Magick Squares of Abramelin. Elemental Magick is also a very useful initiatory practice within Vampyrism. But there is also allot of Qabala stuff in here. Its not very high on my recommendations list, but i like it. check it out if you’re an adept magician. The information in this book will not be easily comprehended by a novice, at all! (Go for the kindle version, its not worth having a physical copy.)

Since its inception, House Kheperu has been distinguished as one of the most influential groups within the modern vampire community. But House Kheperu is much more than simply a vampire house. 2011 marks the fifteenth anniversary of the core group that would become known to the world as House Kheperu. In recognition of this milestone, founder Michelle Belanger has compiled this extensive tome featuring House Kheperu’s most popular and informative outer teachings. The articles and essays collected here represent material archived from the kheperu.org site as well as public elists and forums. These articles shed light on the nuances and development of the popular and widely read “Psychic Vampire Codex” — the manual of magick and energy work that established House Kheperu’s reputation for innovative energy work and a dynamic spiritual path. Often imitated, never duplicated, House Kheperu continues to trailblaze the territory where magick, spirituality, and energy work intersect.

Temple House Shajaza formed in New York City in the year 1976 originally under the name “Black Rose Coven” founded by Goddess Rosemary who reigns as its Matriarch. Shajaza is arguably one of the very first! Vampyre Organizations 2nd only to the “Order of the Vampyre” of the Temple of Set which was founded in 1974; just two years earlier by Lilith Aquino.

D.H.Thorne is a youtuber, who I run in allot of the same circles with in the Left Hand Path occult community. He’s very good friends with E.A.Koetting of Become a Living God. Thornes System of Vampirism is very familiar to me which is the only reason why I’m recommending it. is it a must read? thats really up to you if you are a novice. But not for an Adept. I really like his youtube content which is basically conference calls with other occultists where he goes on rants about various occult topics which I love. I think more people should become familiar with him. But my only concern with him, is that he is on a quest for fame. and I fear if he gets famous, the quality of his material will decrease pretty rapidly. but who knows, I could be wrong.

This is probably a good one for parents raising psychic vampire children who just drain everyone of their life. And it teaches you and the family healthy methods of coping with it.
But mainly the I recommend this book for the section where it recognizes that Vampyrism is Weaponized Shamanism.
But beyond that this isn’t really a book you can’t live without. But if you meet an unconscious psychic vampire, you should hand them this book. It’ll help them get that shit under control.
