In my first coven in there were three of us. Each of us were self-destructive with a strong desire to exit existence. But none of us had the strength or courage to off ourselves; and we were all too attached to each other to take each other out. So we worshiped death, we meditated on death. We chased her by putting ourselves in dangerous places with dangerous people. But fearlessness of death a desire to die has an unexpected result. Chasing death causes her to avoid you. and somehow you survive all accidents. and avoid injury.
It’s when you fear death that she comes for you. When you cling to life that death has to reap you from it. You can’t begin to live truly until you’ve accepted the reality that you as all things will inevitably die.
CORPSE POSTURE:
As death would not come for us, we had to think of ways to become corpses.
we practiced a meditation we called “Corpse Posture” we dropped on the floor or in our bed and lay still for hours in the position our bodies fell into; with our eyes open, ignoring all of our senses and sensations. We focused on slowing our breath to a stop. We focused on slowing down our heartbeat to a stop.
overriding the urge to scratch an itch, or swat a mosquito or fly; overriding the urge to move your fingers or toes. or reposition yourself when you get a charlie horse. all sensations of pain and discomfort, all distractions must be ignored. Because you are dead. you are a corpse. a lifeless husk.
I often practiced this alone with my air-conditioner on high in my bedroom.
My girlfriend at the time would join me sometimes. often the three of us would practice this on the roof. or in the living room.
Sometimes we’d light candles; most of the time we played music.
I mostly performed this in my bedroom. Observing the sounds of life happening around me. I never wanted to be part of it, I just wanted to observe life as a ghost.
DISCOVERY:
As it turns out, we discovered that this Corpse Posture Meditation was a method that allowed our spirits to slip out of our bodies and move about astrally. Even when we weren’t together physically, we could spend all of our time together in spirit.
Astral Travel for us became our vehicle for escapism. As we were teens with no control over our lives or futures, the adults were in control of our destinies. Astral travel gave us some kind of freedom. It allowed us to be untethered to the limitations of the physical world.
I think the reason this worked for us was because of our desire to be dead, the focus was to die physically or simulate our physical death, and that resulted in our discovered ability to slip out of our bodies. Astral Travel was not the goal but a resulting consequence of our simulated death.
This ritual became part of our initiation practice, along with the blood rite.
OTHER RITUALS:
–Throning: Gaze beyond the spheres and into the mind.
–Chamber: Sit or lay silently In a dark room, with blackened windows. and a Black Mirror.
–Alternate Self: In a dark room Sit or Stand in front of your reflection, with a single candle lit behind you. Gaze until your reflection morphs into another face. This is your demon, speak with it. don’t touch the reflection.
–Blood Rite: with your best friend, cut yourselves, press your wounds together. proceed to drink each other’s blood. Become bonded in blood and spirit.
–Blood Chalice: is the Blood Rite but with Wine. cut yourselves, bleed into the wine. Drink and pass the chalice to initiate the group.
–Blood Bond Rite: is a magick initiation rite. A binding spell, binding all participants to each other. It involves colored yarn, candles, herbs, oils, custom sigils, and the blood of the participants. The Covens Vow to be bound.
–Naming Rite: Identify the parts of you, the aspects of your true self. Name them. Avoid names that are overly used. nothing biblical. it must be easy to spell, easy to say, and easy to remember. Your name must be unique to you alone, and it must stand out from everyone else. your Name is your brand. Your name is your identity. Your name is a Spell. a chant, a mantra. your name should have 3 parts. 2 will be known to the world and 1 will be known by you alone. Names hold power. so this Rite is one of the most sacred.
–Heraldry: brand identity, this is an extension of your naming rite. once you have a name, you will need to craft a Sigil to represent you. you will create a talisman with this Sigil and create a seal or stamp with it. This symbol is an extension of your spirit. its mark is an offering like your blood in ritual. This symbol will be needed in the Blood Bond Rite.
–Blood Ring: This ring is a battery that stores energy; it aids the Vampyre in energetic feeding. But it is also used for scrying into. The Ring is made of silver with a Garnet or Ruby. you place this ring on your Seal. on top of your covens grimoire. with 4 candles lit at each corner. The color of the candles will depend on what you want the ring to do. Black for protection, White for psychic assistance, Red for consumption. There will be a Spell, a Day, and an Hour for each intention. The ring is an extension of yourself, embued with your DNA, your essence. Your blood, and spirit. This ring will be a home for the Egregore of your soul. for 6 months, sleep with this ring on your nightstand. set atop your Seal. Or place the ring inside a velvet or silk or satin bag with your seal on it, under your pillow. Wear this ring when you feed and wear it during rituals. It feeds when you feed.

I will update these with links when I turn them into proper posts with more in-depth detail. these are brief summaries of rituals practiced by my past covens. Some of these will be practiced by my future covens too. There are plenty of other rituals I did not include, but will once I recall them. I neglected this tab for too long so I’ll start adding things to it. I might even add rites from other Vampyre groups too if it is available.
